Sarranator®

Description

The Serranator® is a uniquely classified balloon that utilizes 3 long serrated strips made from medical grade stainless steel. These serrated strips deliver 1000x more point force then that of conventional angioplasty. With the increase in force, pressure can remain low and constant which leads to the mitigation of flow limiting dissections while safely and effectively improving luminal gain and increasing volumetric flow by 2.4x. Our mechanism of action also causes disruption of the Internal Elastic Lamina with aides in the mitigation of vessel recoil. Our Recoil Study demonstrated 55% vessel recoil with POBA at 15 minutes as compared to only 6% vessel recoil with Serranator at 15 minutes.

The Serranator® PTA Serration Balloon Catheter is intended for dilatation of lesions in the iliac, femoral, iliofemoral, popliteal, and infrapopliteal arteries and for the treatment of obstructive lesions of native or synthetic arteriovenous dialysis fistulae. Not for use in the coronary or neuro-vasculature.
